About Oneida County Criminal History

Oneida County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff's Office, District Court and Magistrate Division, Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification, Idaho Department of Correction, and Idaho Central Sex Offender Registry. We organized this site to help readers identify the proper custodian, then find the official portal, counter, mailing address, or phone line without treating these separate records as one database.

Why We Built This Site

Public access in Idaho depends on both the record and its custodian. Oneida County Sheriff's Office keeps its incident and arrest reports, while the Oneida County clerk maintains filings, orders, and dispositions for the District Court and Magistrate Division. Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification maintains the central criminal-history repository. The Idaho Department of Correction and Idaho Central Sex Offender Registry answer different custody, supervision, and registration questions. This site brings the official contacts, request routes, fees, and search instructions together while keeping those boundaries clear. It also explains Oneida County's unusual detention arrangement: the county has no jail, so local detainees are taken to Caribou County Jail.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site, not part of Oneida County or the State of Idaho. It has no affiliation with a court, sheriff's office, police agency, or state department. Those limits mean:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot issue certified court records, arrest reports, or Idaho BCI criminal-history reports
  • We cannot submit a public-records request, Clean Slate petition, or expungement application for anyone
  • We cannot interpret a charge, warrant, court order, or eligibility rule as legal advice
  • We cannot promise that an agency's fee, address, hours, or procedure has not changed

An official copy must come from its custodian, such as Oneida County Sheriff's Office, the court clerk, or Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification.

Search Partners

Third-party providers operate search boxes that appear on some pages. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports this free resource. Each provider controls its own service, prices, data practices, and results. We do not set those terms or guarantee that a result is complete, current, or matched to the right person.
